With an opportunity for high school students to display their abilities in front of invited scouts and college coaches, the Cowley College Baseball Showcase will be held on Sunday, October 13, at the Tiger Baseball Field in Arkansas City.
The showcase will include a professional style format. The athletes will run a timed 60, work on outfield and infield defensive situations, catcher pop times, pitcher bullpens, and conduct batting practice.
As a bonus to the athletes, they will participate in a controlled scrimmage at the conclusion of the showcase. The athletes will be able to further showcase their abilities in a live game setting.
The cost is $80 for position players and pitchers and $100 for two-way players. Check-in is at 9 a.m., and the showcase will begin at 10.
