Blackwell Tourism announces Cinco de Mayo Celebration

The Blackwell Tourism Board is making plans for a huge inaugural Cinco de Mayo celebration. The event will be held Friday May 5 at the Livestock building of the Blackwell Fairgrounds from 6pm until 10pm.

Food, activities and fun for all ages is planned. Traditional games with prizes, Piñata fun, the limbo and a bounce house are some of the activities that will be featured along with a DJ and music.

Concessions available for sale will include beef and chicken nachos from Las Potros, the Taco El Sauz food truck, homemade tamales, cotton candy and loaded baked potatoes from the Blackwell Wrestling Takedown club. In addition, the Cooly’s trailer will be on site and the VFW will sell beer and margaritas.
