Concerts will return at Lincoln Elementary on Tuesday, May 17 at 9:30 a.m. in the Lincoln gym. Families are invited to attend the concert.
The newly-formed fourth and fifth grade Recorder Ensemble will play two or three short pieces to get the concert started. The main event will be the Storybook Concert. This year the second and third grade classes will be presenting a collection of books combined with music. The books include “The Pout-Pout Fish,” “Waiting,” “The Night Gardener,” “Nightsong” and “Dinosaurumpus!”
For those families that have attended past concerts, you may recognize some of the books. Amy Muegge, music teacher, said she wanted to go with a nostalgic feel for the concert this year. “Every book has been in a previous concert,” said Muegge.
“For those families new to the Storybook Concert, come out and find some new books to read. For those who have attended the concert before, come out and hear some old favorites.”
