The Northern Oklahoma College Mavericks face Western in the NJCAA Region 2 Softball Tournament Thursday at 11 a.m.
The tournament is in Piedmont, Oklahoma, May 12-15.
NOC Tonkawa (25-21) enters as the #4 seed while Western (23-19) is the #5 seed. The Mavs were 17-15 in league play while Western was 16-16.
The Mavs won three of four from the Pioneers splitting two games in Tonkawa after sweeping two games in Altus in February.
Thursday’s winner faces the Seminole-NOC Enid winner at 6:30 p.m. Friday while the NOC Tonkawa- Western loser faces the Seminole-NOC Enid loser at 11 a.m. Friday.
Seminole enters the tournament as the top seed, ranked #4 in the nation.
