Po-Hi To Host Playoff Game Friday Night – Bracket & Ticket Info

Ponca City will take on the Tahlequah Tigers on Friday night at Sullins Stadium at 7 p.m. in the first round of playoffs. This is the first time in 17 years that Ponca City has hosted a playoff game.

Tahlequah is 3-7 on the season with a 2-5 record in 6A-II District 1 play. The team lost to Sapulpa 39-35, Wagoner 43-3, Charles Page 25-21, Booker T. Washington 47-0, Muskogee 48-13, Stillwater 55-0 and Bartlesville 28-16. They beat Sallisaw 38-27, Putnam City West 27-6 and Grant 70-0.

Ponca City has a record of 5-5 and 5-2 in 6A-II District 2 play. The Wildcats lost to Guthrie 35-23, Enid 32-20, Charles Page 48-25, Deer Creek 37-21, and Choctaw 42-13. They beat Lawton 24-16, Putnam City North 37-7, Putnam City 13-7, Capitol Hill 67-0, and Northwest Classen 44-8.

Wildcat football coach Scott Harmon urges the community to attend the game. “Our kids feed off our crowd. There is no doubt about that. We would love to see a packed house at Sullins Stadium to send this senior crew out in style,” he said. “They have a very unique opportunity to set themselves apart from any senior class in the last 36 years.”

“This game is a HUGE deal to our kids and we want our community to be a big part of it with us. Bundle up and bring a friend to the game. We are gonna play harder than ever.”

Playoff tickets are available to purchase online by visiting www.gofan.co. Everyone, kindergarten and above, needs an admission ticket to enter. Only playoff passes will be accepted. Faculty/Staff ID and Lifetime passes will not be permitted for admission.

The ticket is $8.35 if purchased through www.gofan.co or $10 at the gate the night of the game.
All veterans and one guest will be admitted free of charge. Simply show your Military ID or driver’s license that shows your military status
