The number of COVID-19 cases for Oklahoma took a big jump on Wednesday, June 10, as the Oklahoma State Department of health documented 117 new positive cases of COVID-19, putting the state’s overall total of cases at 7,480 since testing started.
At this time, there are 1,314 active cases in Oklahoma.
For local counties, Payne County saw the biggest increase as there are three new COVID-19 cases. Osage and Pawnee counties both have one new COVID-19 case. Data for local counties is posted below:
- Osage County- 103 cases overall/8 deaths/89 recoveries
- Kay County – 60 cases overall/7 deaths/47 recoveries
- Payne County – 55 cases overall/1 death/45 recoveries
- Pawnee County – 35 cases overall/2 deaths/30 recoveries
- Garfield County – 31 cases overall/1 death/25 recoveries
- Logan County – 21 cases overall/1 death/18 recoveries
- Noble County – 7 cases overall/no deaths/7 recoveries
- Grant County – 2 cases overall/no deaths/2 recoveries
New data from OSDH shows that two more virus-related deaths have occurred, putting Oklahoma’s death toll at 355. The deaths are believed to have happened between June 4 and June 8.
- A Cleveland County woman in the 65 or older age group.
- A Seminole County man in the 65 or older age group.
OSDH also reports that 93 more Oklahomans have recovered from COVID-19 to put Oklahoma’s recovery total at 6,166.
As of Wednesday, a total of 229,817 test results returned negative.
