1,300 new COVID-19 cases for Oklahoma on Wednesday

The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 1,300 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday.

 

According to the situation report, Oklahoma’s seen an overall total of 572,223 COVID-19 cases as the new cases 7 day average is 2,532. The CDC provisional death count is 9,370.

 

While there are 20,432 active cases across the state, 276 of those are in Kay County. So far, Kay County has seen 6,296 COVID-19 cases, 139 deaths and 5,881 recoveries. For active cases in surrounding counties, Garfield has 254, Osage has 337, Pawnee has 149, Noble has 118 and Grant has 37.

 

If you’re needing to get tested for COVID-19, the Kay County Health Department has COVID-19 testing available by appointment only at the Ponca City clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Make an appointment by calling 580-762-1641. COVID-19 testing is NOT available at the Blackwell clinic.

PONCA CITY – 4,565 COVID-19 cases/92 deaths/4,261 recoveries

BLACKWELL – 837 COVID-19 cases/30 deaths/785 recoveries

NEWKIRK – 529 COVID-19 cases/7 deaths/493 recoveries

TONKAWA – 440 COVID-19 cases/16 deaths/407 recoveries

KAW CITY – 79 COVID-19 cases/3 deaths/74 recoveries

BRAMAN – 33 COVID-19 cases/1 death/27 recoveries

 

As for the COVID-19 vaccine, a total of 3,906,825 doses have been administered. This includes 2,144,418 Oklahomans receiving the first dose and 1,768,580 Oklahomans that are fully vaccinated.
