3,907 COVID-19 cases, 44 deaths and 4,746 recoveries reported for Oklahoma on Wednesday


The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 3,907 new positive COVID-19 cases for Wednesday, January 13. Oklahoma’s seen 341,364 COVID-19 cases overall as 39,141 cases are active.

A total of 44 virus-related deaths were documented on Wednesday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 2,848. This includes an Osage County female in the 50-64 age group, a Pawnee County female in the 65 or older age group and a Washington County female in the 65 or older age group.

Kay County saw an increase on Wednesday with 59 new COVID-19 cases, putting the county at 3,996 cases, 44 deaths and 3,452 recoveries. Data for Kay County communities is posted below:


Ponca City – 2,961 cases/26 deaths/2,562 recoveries

Blackwell – 476 cases/8 deaths/405 recoveries

Newkirk – 341 cases/2 death/283 recoveries

Tonkawa – 260 cases/8 deaths/291 recoveries

Kaw City – 52 cases/1 death/44 recoveries

Braman – 18 cases/0 deaths/16 recoveries


As for new COVID-19 cases in local counties, there are 73 for Garfield, 63 for Payne, 42 for Logan, 24 each for Osage and Washington, 10 for Pawnee, seven for Noble and four for Grant. Data for local counties is posted below:


Payne County – 6,970 cases/33 deaths/6,254 recoveries

Garfield County – 6,156 cases/47 deaths/5,550 recoveries

Kay County – 3,996 cases/44 deaths/3,452 recoveries

Washington County – 3,668 cases/67 deaths/3,182 recoveries

Osage County – 3,548 cases/33 deaths/3,112 recoveries

Logan County – 3,147 cases/15 deaths/2,738 recoveries

Pawnee County – 1,272 cases/17 deaths/1,080 recoveries

Noble County – 1,118 cases/7 deaths/998 recoveries

Grant County – 443 cases/5 deaths/401 recoveries


OSDH also reported 4,746 new recoveries for Wednesday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 299,375. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

Wednesday’s report shows there have been 99,373 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 4,672 completed series.

Health officials report that as of Wednesday, there have been 2,548,026 total negative test results, 19,199 hospitalizations and 1,856 people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19. There are 477 patients in ICU.
