The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 422 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday.
According to the situation report, Oklahoma’s seen 635,865 COVID-19 cases since early 2020. A total of 7,738 cases are active, which is more than 700 less than Monday. The new cases 7 day average is 1,082. The CDC provisional death count is 10,825.
According to the latest data from Wednesday, October 13, Kay County has seen an overall total of 7,044 COVID-19 cases, 148 deaths and 6,726 recoveries. Kay County has 170 active COVID-19 cases.
If you’re needing to get tested for COVID-19, the Kay County Health Department has COVID-19 testing available by appointment only at the Ponca City clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Make an appointment by calling 580-762-1641. COVID-19 testing is NOT available at the Blackwell clinic.

As for the COVID-19 vaccine, a total of 4,282,557 doses have been administered. This includes 2,277,699 Oklahomans receiving at least one dose and 1,922,364 Oklahomans that are fully vaccinated.
