The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 427 new positive COVID-19 cases for Thursday, July 2. There have been a total of 14,539 cases since testing started, and 3,491 cases are active. This is 16 less than on Thursday.
Kay County saw six new COVID-19 cases Thursday, putting the county past the 100 mark with 104 cases since testing started. For new cases in surrounding counties, Payne County has 11, seven for Garfield County, Osage County with six, Logan County has three and Noble and Washington counties both with one.
For active cases in local communities, Stillwater has 111, Ponca City with 22, Bartlesville has 8, 14 for Enid, seven in Cleveland, Red Rock with five, four in Hominy, Perry with three and Pawnee, Fairfax and Orlando each have two. Newkirk, Pawhuska and Morrison each have one case.
Six virus related deaths were documented by OSDH on Thursday, one of which occurred since Wednesday.
- A Tulsa County female in the 65 or older age group.
- Two Comanche County women in the 65 or older age group.
- Three in McCurtain County. A male and a female in the 65 or older age group, and a male in the 50-64 age group.
OSDH is also reporting 443 new recoveries in Oklahoma, putting the state’s recovery total at 11,048.
