The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 774 new COVID-19 cases for Monday, Oct. 19. Oklahoma’s seen an overall total of 108,073 COVID-19 cases as 14,533 cases are active.
Two additional virus-related deaths were documented Monday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 1,173. The two deaths were in Tulsa and Tillman counties for males in the 65 or older age group.
Kay County saw 14 new COVID-19 cases for Monday, putting the county’s stats to 796 cases, 15 deaths and 697 recoveries. As for active cases in the county, 61 are for Ponca City, 10 for Newkirk, nine for Blackwell and four for Tonkawa.
For new cases in local counties, there are 18 for Garfield, 17 for Logan, 15 for Payne, six for Pawnee, four for Grant and two for Washington.

OSDH is also reporting 724 new recoveries to put Oklahoma’s recovery total to 92,367. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
Officials report that as of Friday, there have been 1,312,840 total negative specimen, 7,679 total hospitalizations and 793 patients are currently hospitalized.
