A two vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon near Perry has claimed the life of a 63 year old Ponca City woman. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that Connie Schones wasdriving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala eastbound on County Road 170, 6.5 miles east of Perry,when she went left of center and struck the rear axle of a 2014 Kenworth driven by 30 year old Bryan Standifer of Oklahoma City.
Schones was pinned in the wreckage for approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes before being freed by the Perry Fire Department. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not injured.
