Area Teams in the College Basketball Tournament

Wichita State beat Vanderbilt 70-50 in a first four play in game Tuesday night in Dayton, Ohio. The Shockers advance to play Arizona this Thursday night in the second round.  The University of Tulsa will play Michigan tonight in their play in game.  Tip off is at 8:10 in Dayton for the Golden Hurricane.  The Kansas Jayhawks play at 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the first round game against Austin Peay.  Meanwhile the Oklahoma Sooners play Friday afternoon at 3 against Cal State Bakersfield.  In the womens tournament, the OSU Cowgirls first round NCAA game is Friday night at 7:30 against St. Bonaventure. The Oklahoma women also made the NCAA womens field of 64 and play Saturday afternoon at 1:30 against Kentucky.  The men’s championship game is April 4th and womens championship is April 5th.
