An Ark City hair stylist, Ann Hotchkin, is recovering from an attack Saturday night in Wichita that led to the arrest of a 37-year-old man.
Hotchkin sustained numerous head and facial injuries, some of which will require surgery to repair, friends said.
Around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Wichita Police responded to a residence for the report of a woman who had been beaten and injured. Hotchkin was taken to a local hospital. The suspect was not at the scene when the police arrived but was identified as Jason Hoffman, a acquaintance of Hotchkin. He was arrested Sunday Afternoon in Wichita and is being held in the Sedgwick County Jail on a $50,000 bond. According to arrest records, Hoffman was still in jail yesterday charged with one count of aggravated battery.
