Area youngsters entering Grades 6 through 12 can investigate the arts at Arts Adventure 2017 Summer Camp set for July 24-28 at Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa.
The 26th annual day camp, operated by the Arts Adventure Foundation, offers opportunities to explore new areas of the creative arts or improve talents and skills in a familiar field.
Arts Adventure 2017 begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Each camper will choose morning (8:30 a.m.-noon) and afternoon (12:30-4 p.m.) classes in visual arts, video production/ computer graphics, vocal music, instrumental music, photography, dance, theatre or writing.
Aspiring film directors may choose the all-day class, Video Production/Computer Graphics 101.
Concluding the camp Friday evening, students will show off the results of their artistic investigations with a gallery exhibition and on-stage performances in the Kinzer Performing Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Total cost for the Arts Adventure 2017 Summer Camp is $150.
