After winning the election for Blackwell City Mayor in June, Mayor Glenn Cox resigned as of Thursday.
According to the Blackwell Journal Tribune, the reason for resigning was due to health issues. Vice Mayor Steve Marquardt will now take over as acting Mayor for the City of Blackwell.
Cox says that he has suffered health issues since he was elected mayor.
