Bond Raised For Man Who Gave Victim Acid Burns

NEWKIRK – A status docket is now set for Mace Edwin Dickens, 28, of Stillwater following charges of Domestic Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Maiming.

On Nov. 22, 2019 at approximately 8:14 a.m. the Communications Center received a call of a person at Bridgeway, 620 W. Grand Ave., with acid burns. Ponca City Police Officers and an ambulance was sent there. The victim
was transported to Alliance Health Ponca City for treatment.

The investigation has concluded that the victim was involved in a domestic with her boyfriend, Mace Edwin Dickens, 28, of Ponca City. The Police Department has probable cause to arrest Mace Edwin Dickens.

Dickens was booked into the Kay County Jail on a $50,000 bond, but the bond was raised to $60,000 on Dec. 13. Dickens is not allowed to have any contact with the victim if he bonds out.
