Incoming city commissioner Shasta Scott and returning Commissioner Lanita Chapman are now official. They both received their oath of office as part of last night’s commission meeting.
Municipal Judge William Kirkpatrick administered the oath.
Vice-Mayor Marybeth Moore chaired the meeting in her final official act. Moore has moved out of the area, which led the way for the election of Scott.
Moore was presented with special medallions by City Manager Craig Stephenson, commemorating her years of service.
