The City of Blackwell is currently accepting applications for entry level firefighter/EMT. The minimum job requirements are posted below.
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 45
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Nationally EMT or higher Paramedic preferred
- Capable of passing Oklahoma State Firefighter Pension Physical
**Nationally Registry Certification and IFSAC Firefighter Certification are highly desirable**
The City of Blackwell offers a competitive salary and benefit package.
- Base salary for probationary firefighter is $34,125.12
- Monthly incentive pay of $250 for Advanced EMT, EMT-I85 and $400 for Paramedic
- Hospitalization insurance provided for employee with family coverage available
