The City of Tonkawa announced Monday evening that city crews made substantial progress Monday towards controlling the water loss from their distribution system.
Between Sunday and Monday, the City of Tonkawa has responded to over 50 customer turn-offs where there were major water breaks.
With the city-wide reduced water pressure, most of the customers were not aware that they had an issue.
Tonkawa city crews will continue to monitor and search for additional leaks until they are completely stabilized.
Please continue to conserve as Tonkawa’s water levels are still extremely low. As the levels rise, the city will gradually increase the pressure in the system.
The City of Tonkawa wants to say ‘THANK YOU’ to ALL their residential and business customers and let you know that your cooperation truly did and does make a difference.
