The Ponca City Police Department will be participating in National Coffee with a Cop on Wednesday at two locations. The Perk Beverage Company at 415 North Fourteenth Street and Sacred Grounds Cofeehouse at 702 South Third Street will be hosting simultaneously from 7 to 9 AM on October 4th.
National Coffee with a Cop day began in 2011 in a town in California as a way to get Police Officers and the community members they serve to get together and talk about things in the community. Ponca City has participated in this event for the last three years.
Ponca City Police Chief Don Bohon said the Coffee with a Cop program has proven to be a great way for our officers to meet the public in a non-stressful situation, and answer any questions our citizens may have. The Police Department encourages any citizen to come by and visit with the officers, even if you don’t have a question.
Wednesday October 4th from 7 to 9AM at Sacred Grounds and The Perk in Ponca City for Coffee with a Cop.
