State Regent Marlin “Ike” Glass was recognized as a state regent emeritus at the April 21st meeting of the Oklahoma State Board of Regents for Higher Education. Ike, owner of Glass Trucking in Newkirk, has served two terms on the board, both were nine year terms.
He was first appointed by then Governor Frank Keating in 1997 and reappointed by Brad Henry. In 2009, Ike received the highest honor a citizen of Oklahoma can receive, induction into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Mr. Glass will attend his final regent meeting in May.
