Crazy Days weekend to be strictly a shopping event this year

The following is a statement from Ponca City Main Street:

“In the interest of the health of our beloved community, our Ponca City Main Street Board has decided to make our normal Crazy Days weekend strictly a shopping event this year, and not host our usual Street Party at the Veterans’ Plaza. As much as we’d like to see our community gathering in downtown Ponca City for the party, with COVID-19 cases on the rise, we feel it just isn’t safe. This was a difficult decision, but the safety of our community is always one of our highest priorities.

PCMS brought the Street Party back in 2014 and it has continued to grow and become a wonderful, free community event each year. We look forward to next year and hope at that time we will be able to bring our community together again in a fun & safe way.

As you and your loved ones visit downtown to take part in the crazy, amazing sales, we encourage you to wear masks and practice safe social distancing, as recommended by state and federal health officials. Help PCMS keep the heart of our community safe and thriving, and as always, thank you for supporting our locally owned businesses!”
