The Ponca City Public School Cross Country team partnered with Phillips 66 Mid-Stream to get a new event tent in honor of the late Coach Kelly Chaney. Cross Country Coach Larry Degan explained, “Back in August, I informed the Cross Country parents that I would like to order a tent that would fill a big need for our program but would also serve as a memorial for Coach Chaney. After the meeting, Marty Dempsey, who works in Mid-Stream at Phillips 66, talked to me about them helping to make that happen. Over the next several weeks, Marty was able to secure the donation, and we ordered the tent. It was really special to surprise our team with a tent they never dreamed they could have and to be able to honor Coach Chaney’s memory! This was all made possible by Phillips 66 Mid-Stream and Marty Dempsey. We can’t thank them enough!”
