Police responded to the area, and near Pine and Grand they found the assault suspect, 31 year old Ian Shea King, armed with a sword. King raised the sword, advanced towards officers and was shot multiple times. King died at the scene.The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was called in to investigate the shooting. After reviewing the report submitted by agents of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, District Attorney Brian Hermanson has cleared all three officers and found the shooting to be justified. No charges will be filed against the officers and the case is closed.The Ponca City Police Department is completing the internal/administrative review of the incident, and will likely complete that review this week.
