HomeLocalPonca PostDUI Crash Hospitalizes PC ManDUI Crash Hospitalizes PC ManMon, February 27, 2017 by Lyman JamesSHARE NOW A 61 year old Ponca City man was arrested for DUI after a crash in Osage County.Edgar Burch was transported to Alliance Health in Ponca City, where he was treated, released to the highway patrol, then booked into the Osage County Jail. 67 year old James Martin of Burbank refused treatment for a possible head injury, and another passenger, 66 year old Albert Miller, was not hurt.The crash happened when the Burch vehicle, northbound on Whizbang Road, left the roadway, striking a tree. The vehicle reentered the roadway and traveled 2 miles more before it shut down.After Burch was booked, he was flown to St. Johns Tulsa and admitted for various injuries.The Osage/Pawnee detachment of Troop K was assisted by Shidler EMS, Osage County Sheriff’s Office, Osage Nation Police Department, and the Shidler Fire Department.
