East Middle School in Ponca City is hosting a meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 for parents and students that will be transitioning into the 8th Grade for the 2020-2021 school year. The meeting will be held in the East Middle School auditorium.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and last approximately twenty-five minutes. This meeting will cover some policies and procedures for the upcoming school year; however, the main focus will be on offering assistance with the enrollment process.
The window for course selection for East Middle School for the 2020-2021 school year will be open from March 3rd until March 23rd, 2020. Enrollment is open for all 7th grade students going into 8th grade. During this time, students and parents will have the opportunity to make course selections for the upcoming year. All course requests will be completed online.
After the meeting, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., EMS will present their 2020 Google Slam. EMS students will present the technology used at East. At 7:00 p.m. there will be a random ticket drawing just for attending the Google Slam. Prizes will include gift certificates to local restaurants and home goods.
