Enid man in critical condition after accident in Grant County

Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to a personal injury collision that occurred at 5:43 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 64, about 6.5 miles east of Nash in Grant County.

Michael David Owens, 45, of Enid was driving a 1993 Chevrolet Suburban westbound on the highway. He then departed the roadway to the right for an unknown reason. re-entered roadway, rolled 1 and ¼ time and came to rest in middle of the roadway. Owens was sent by Air Evac to OU medical center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in critical condition with head, trunk internal, trunk external, arm, and leg injuries.

Seatbelts were in use. Conditions were cloudy, and the asphalt was dry.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Kyle Rosine #523 of the Garfield county detachment of Troop J. Assisted by Trooper Ray Robertson #601, Pond Creek PD, Grant County Sheriff’s Department, Pond Creek EMS, Pond Creek FD, and Air Evac.
