STILLWATER – One man is dead after a fatal collision occurred at 5:51 p.m. Saturday on State Highway 51 4.7 miles east of Stillwater. in Payne County.
Jonathon Wayne Sain, 45, of Stillwater was driving a 2012 Mazda 5 eastbound in the inside westbound lane of State Highway 51. Sain then struck a westbound-travelling 2008 GMC Sierra driven by Matthew Allen Barton, 40, of Stillwater. This caused Barton to leave the center of the road to the left and strike a 2019 Chevrolet Spark driven by Steven Daniel Harshbarger, 19, of Pawnee.
After the accident, Sain was transported by ambulance to Stillwater Medical Center. Sain was later pronounced dead due to head, arm, leg, trunk internal and trunk external injuries. Barton was also transported by ambulance to Stillwater Medical Center in stable condition with head and trunk internal injuries. Harshbarger was not injured, and his passenger, Jeffery Don Isreal, 49, of Pawnee, was treated at the scene.
