Fire danger very high in WBBZ listening area.

Several large grass fires have been reported in the listening area due to the dry and windy conditions.  State Highway 123 at County Road 2075 is closed due to a large grass fire late last night.  Two volunteer fire departments and the Osage County Sheriffs Department were on the scene.  Also yesterday afternoon a large grass fire east of Blackwell required the Blackwell Fire Department to be on the scene.  That fire was placed under control after two hours and the roadway was opened.  the Office of Enid/Garfield County Emergency Management. Asks everyone to use common sense.  Burn Bans on outside burning have issued by the Governor and county officials in the western third of the state and the panhandle.  Yesterday,  PC dispatchers had seven of ten of the area rural fire departments out, along with PCFD.
