A former correctional officer, Charles Daniel Lynn of El Reno, at an Oklahoma prison for federal prisoners, has plead guilty to the charges of accepting a bribe and conspiring to commit wire fraud.
U.S. Attorney Mark Yancey says Lynn entered the guilty pleas in U.S. District Court in Oklahoma City early this week.
The indictment in August alleged that Lynn, a correctional officer at the Great Plains Correctional Facility in Hinton, agreed to deliver contraband including cellphones, electronic music players and other items to an inmate at the prison in exchange for money.
Hinton is a low-security private institution that contracts with the government to house federal inmates.
Lynn faces up to 15 years in prison.
