Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt made the announcement on Wednesday that his executive order to close all nonessential businesses now includes all 77 counties in the state.
The closure applies to businesses featuring social gatherings, such as bars, hair salons, gyms and restaurants.
Before the announcement Wednesday, Stitt’s executive order originally applied to counties that had COVID-19 cases.
While dining areas of restaurants are to be closed. Curbside and drive-thru services are available. Stitt says that he encourages supporting local restaurants during this time.
Stitt also made the announcement on Wednesday that Oklahoma is receiving an influx of COVID-19 testing kits, and the Oklahoma State Department of Health is lifting some testing restrictions.
Stitt said that anyone with symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 should get tested this week.
Symptoms must include a fever of 100.4, coughing and shortness of breath.
Stitt also said on Wednesday that there are 13,600 testing kits for the state, and that Oklahoma State University is opening its lab for testing. The OSU lab can test up to 2,300 people each day.
