Guidlines Announced For Membership Show


The Ponca City Arts Center has recently announced the 2019 annual Membership Show guidelines. The opening reception will be on Thursday, April 11 from 5 until 7 p.m. at 819 East Central in Ponca City. Critique from the judge will be at 5:30 p.m. Registration will be April 4-5 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. The show will then close on Friday, May 3 and artwork may be picked up after 3 p.m. that same day or Monday, May 6 from noon until 4 p.m.

If artwork is offered for sale, the Ponca City Art Center will retain a 30 percent commission. Only paid PCAA members may enter. Entrant must be at least 18 years of age or have prior approval of Membership Show Committee. Membership forms will be available at the time of registration for renewing members and those not currently members. Individual memberships are $40 with Household memberships at $70. Higher levels of giving are available. Those becoming members will receive a tax receipt to submit to the IRS.

The maximum number of entries per member is three. Entries may all be in one medium or in different media. The image size of one painting is limited to 24″x36″. Acceptance of an oversized piece will be at the discretion of the judge if ribbons are to be awarded. The three entry levels are Professional, Amateur and Hobbyist.
