PONCA CITY – The OMPA will be working with the Corp Of Engineers to perform work on top of the Kaw Dam road, this will require the Dam road to be closed for the duration of the work. The plan is to close the Dam road in the morning and reopen the road in the evening. Below is a schedule of when the road will be blocked off/closed.
Feb 6th-8:00am-5:00pm-Thursday
Feb 7th-8:00am-5:00pm-Friday
Feb 10th-14th-8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
There is one other date that will require the road to be closed, this date is unknown at this point however, as soon as the date is known, advance notification will be provided. There will be road signs & flashers at highway 60, in front of the Corp office, near Kaw Lake lookout point (prairie dog farm), Enterprise Road, and in town at the (Odeys bar and grill).
Note: at any point if the work is completed early, the Kaw Dam road will be opened for public use.
