Kay County sees 14 new COVID-19 cases, One new virus-related death for Garfield County

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,309 new positive COVID-19 cases for Tuesday, Oct. 13. Oklahoma’s seen an overall total of 101,493 COVID-19 cases as 13,872 cases are active.

15 additional virus-related deaths were documented Tuesday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 1,119. One of those deaths being a Garfield County man in the 50-64 age group. All 23 virus-related deaths for Garfield County have been Enid residents.

Kay County saw an additional 14 new COVID-19 cases, Tuesday, putting the county’s stats to 759 cases, 15 deaths and 641 recoveries. As for active cases in the county, there are 76 for Ponca City, 14 for Newkirk, eight for Blackwell, seven for Tonkawa and five for Kaw City.

For new cases in local counties, there are 19 each for Logan, Payne and Washington, 16 each for Garfield and Osage, two each for Noble and Pawnee and one for Grant.

Pawnee County – 288 cases/5 deaths/251 recoveries

Noble County – 165 cases/3 deaths/153 recoveries

Grant County – 68 cases/1 death/53 recoveries

 

OSDH is reporting 1,237 new recoveries for the state on Tuesday as the overall recovery total now stands at 86,502. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

Officials report that as of Friday, 1,272,223 test results have returned negative, there have been 7,265 total hospitalizations and 760 people are currently hospitalized.
