The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,307 new positive COVID-19 cases for Wednesday, Oct. 21. Oklahoma’s seen an overall total of 110,855 COVID-19 cases as 14,666 are active.
19 additional virus-related deaths were reported Wednesday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 1,210. One being a Payne County male in the 50-64 age group.
Kay County saw 20 new COVID-19 cases for Wednesday, putting the county at 822 cases, 16 deaths and 721 recoveries. As for active cases in the county, there are 57 for Ponca City, 12 for Blackwell, nine for Tonkawa and eight for Newkirk.
For new cases in local counties, there are 21 for Logan, 17 for Washington, 14 for Payne, 10 for Osage, seven for Pawnee, six for Garfield and one each for Grant and Noble

OSDH is also reporting 1,281 new recoveries for Wednesday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 94,979. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
Officials report that as of Wednesday, there have been 1,367,370 total negative specimen, 8,077 total hospitalizations and 870 patients are currently hospitalized.
