Kay County sees 31 new COVID-19 cases and 36 recoveries for Thursday

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 2,782 new COVID-19 cases for Thursday. Oklahoma’s seen 397,065 COVID-19 cases overall as 26,935 cases are active.

There are also 27 new virus-related deaths reported on Thursday, putting Oklahoma’s death toll to 3,681. This includes a Payne County female and a Washington County male that were both in the 65 or older age group. The exact time for when these deaths occurred is unknown.

Kay County saw an increase with 31 new COVID-19 cases. This puts Kay County with 4,829 COVID-19 cases, 60 deaths and 4,449 recoveries. There are 320 active cases in the county, making it 36 less than what there were Wednesday. Data for Kay County communities is posted below:

For new COVID-19 cases in local counties, there are 82 for Garfield, 64 for Payne, 33 for Logan, 30 for Washington, 28 for Osage, 15 for Pawnee, five for Noble and none for Grant. Data for local counties is posted below:

OSDH is also reporting 2,641 new recoveries for Thursday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 366,449. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

There have been 373,279 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 58,245 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 315,034. There have also been 315,600 prime doses allocated and 195,750 boost doses allocated.

Health officials report that as of Thursday morning, there have been 2,854,439 total negative test results, 22,317 hospitalizations and 1,102 people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 with 331 patients in ICU..
