The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 2,119 new COVID-19 cases for Wednesday. Oklahoma’s seen 394,283 COVID-19 cases overall as 26,821 cases are active.
There are also 52 new virus-related deaths reported on Wednesday, putting Oklahoma’s death toll to 3,654. This includes a Kay County male from Blackwell in the 50-64 age group, making it the 60th death for the county. Other deaths reported include two females in the 36-49 and 50-64 age groups and one male in the 65 or older age group all in Garfield County, a Grant County female in the 65 or older age group and an Osage County female in the 65 or older age group. The exact time for when these deaths occurred is unknown.
Kay County saw an increase with eight new COVID-19 cases. This puts Kay County with 4,798 COVID-19 cases, 60 deaths and 4,420 recoveries. There are 356 active cases in the county. Data for Kay County communities is posted below:

OSDH is also reporting 3,106 new recoveries for Wednesday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 363,808. Therefor, Oklahoma saw over 1,000 the amount of recoveries for Wednesday compared to the amount of new cases. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
There have been 373,279 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 58,245 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 315,034. There have also been 315,600 prime doses allocated and 195,750 boost doses allocated.
Health officials report that as of Wednesday, there have been 2,838,989 total negative test results, 22,167 hospitalizations and 1,143 people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 with 320 patients in ICU..
