Kay County sees nine new COVID-19 cases, OSDH reporting 1,091 new cases statewide

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,091 new positive COVID-19 cases statewide for Tuesday, Sept. 15. Oklahoma has seen an overall total of 71,314 COVID-19 cases as 10,409 of those cases are active.

Seven additional virus-related deaths were reported for Tuesday, putting Oklahoma’s death toll at 912.

Kay County saw an increase with nine new cases to put the current stats to 451 cases, 13 deaths and 325 recoveries. As for the active cases in the county, there are 77 for Ponca City, 23 for Newkirk, seven for Blackwell, four for Tonkawa and one for Kaw City. As for new cases in local counties, there are 54 for Payne County, 30 for Garfield County, 11 for Osage County, 10 for Washington County,five for Noble County, four for Logan County, two for Pawnee County and one for Grant County.

Kay County – 451 cases/13 deaths/325 recoveries

Logan County – 367 cases/1 death/313 recoveries

Pawnee County – 234 cases/3 deaths/217 recoveries

Noble County – 136 cases/2 deaths/110 recoveries

Grant County – 33 cases/no deaths/28 recoveries

 

New data for Oklahoma on Tuesday also shows 986 additional recoveries, putting the statewide recovery total to 59,993.  In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

Officials report that as of Friday, 907,109 test results have returned negative. There have been 5,369 total hospitalizations as 509 people are currently hospitalized.
