The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,296 new COVID-19 cases for Tuesday. Oklahoma’s seen 392,164 COVID-19 cases overall as 27,860 cases are active.
There are also 38 new virus-related deaths reported on Tuesday, putting Oklahoma’s death toll to 3,602. This includes a Kay County male from Ponca City in the 65 or older age group and a Pawnee County female in the 50-64 age group.
Kay County saw an increase with seven new COVID-19 cases. This puts Kay County with 4,790 COVID-19 cases, 59 deaths and 4,375 recoveries. There are 356 active cases in the county. Data for Kay County communities is posted below:

OSDH is also reporting 2,662 new recoveries for Tuesday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 358,040. Therefor, Oklahoma saw over twice the amount of recoveries for Tuesday compared to the amount of new cases. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
There have been 373,279 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 58,245 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 315,034. There have also been 315,600 prime doses allocated and 195,750 boost doses allocated.
Health officials report that as of Tuesday, there have been 2,822,470 total negative test results, 21,996 hospitalizations and 1,206 people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 with 342 patients in ICU..
