Kay County Sheriff’s Office presented with “Comfort Bags”

SHARE NOW
The Kay County Sheriff’s Office was recently presented with “Comfort Bags” as seen in the photo below from the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. This service project was an idea stemming from children that are removed from their homes for one reason or another and to help take their mind off the situation they are in.
Unfortunately, Law Enforcement and DHS are sometimes tasked in serving court orders to remove children from the home and in some cases leaving without anything to take with them. In the “Comfort Bags” or backpacks there are items like a blanket, pillow, a stuffed animal, toiletries, coloring books, colors and a toy.
This project was created by Colton Tripp from the Blackwell High School. Colton is the Kay County 4-H Secretary and Blackwell Ok-Okies President.
Colton will be delivering these Comfort Bags to other Law Enforcement Agencies throughout Kay County.
If you would like to help Colton with this project, contact Sheriff Steve Kelley and he will forward your contact information to Colton.
