The Kay County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a new scam going around.
The latest in scams is now someone will call you and say that they have mistakenly sent you money thru a payment app on your phone. They will ask you to send it back to them. It is being said that once you agree to send it back they reverse or cancel their ORIGINAL transaction and you are out the money you send them. If this happens, the Kay County Sheriff’s Office says to let them cancel the transaction on their end period.
