Kay County Wrestlers Compete At State Tournament

Several wrestlers from high schools in Kay County participated in the Oklahoma High School State Wrestling Tournament in Oklahoma City. Schools represented include Blackwell, Tonkawa, Newkirk and Ponca City.

Blackwell found out who their 90th State Champion was when Aiden Odell won his class. Other results for Blackwell include Mikey Riley finishing 2nd place, Christian Mora in 3rd place and Kaiden Ailey with 4th place in their classes.

For Newkirk, Austin Peri wrapped up his senior season with a 2nd place finish in his class.

Preston Lee of Ponca City made it to wrestle on Saturday.
