Lamont woman involved in accident near Crescent Friday

A Lamont woman was involved in an accident that occurred at 11:49 p.m. Friday night on State Highway 74, 2.25 miles north of Crescent in Logan County.

Debra Eck, 69, of Crescent was driving a 2002 Ford Taurus southbound on State Highway 74 and was pushing a 2017 Nissan Versa that was out of gas. Eck was reaching speeds of 50 miles per hour, causing her to lose control of the vehicle. Eck then crossed into the northbound lane and was struck by a 2002 Ford F150 driven by Martha Moore, 54, of Lamont. Eck was pinned for approximately 15 minutes and was extricated by Crescent Fire Department and Logan County Fire Department using the Hurst tool.

Eck was then transported by Crescent Ambulance District to OU Medical in Oklahoma City where she was admitted in serious condition with head, arm, leg, trunk, external and internal injuries. Moore was was treated and released at the scene with arm, trunk, and leg external injuries.

Both drivers had seatbelts equipped.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Dustin Carlton #848 of Troop A. Assisted by Trooper Mystal Perkins #795 of Troop A, Logan County Sheriff Department, Crescent Police Department, Crescent Fire Department, Logan County Fire Department and Crescent Ambulance District.
