The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 484 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday.
According to the situation report, Oklahoma’s seen 598,556 COVID-19 cases overall as 16,478 cases are active. The new cases 7 day average is 1,834 and the CDC provisional death count is 9,892 as of Sept. 20th.
Data from Wednesday, September 15, shows that while there are 17,671 active cases across the state, 246 of those are in Kay County. This number is 30 less than the previous week of September 8. So far, Kay County has seen 6,529 COVID-19 cases, 141 deaths and 6,142 recoveries. For active cases in surrounding counties, Garfield has 254, Osage has 337, Pawnee has 149, Noble has 118 and Grant has 37. New data for local counties will be posted at coronavirus.health.ok.gov later today.
If you’re needing to get tested for COVID-19, the Kay County Health Department has COVID-19 testing available by appointment only at the Ponca City clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Make an appointment by calling 580-762-1641. COVID-19 testing is NOT available at the Blackwell clinic.

As for the COVID-19 vaccine, a total of 3,990,068 doses have been administered. This includes 2,179,904 Oklahomans receiving the first dose and 1,808,630 Oklahomans that are fully vaccinated.
