Less than 800 new COVID-19 cases reported by OSDH on Monday

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 730 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, Feb. 15. Oklahoma’s seen 414,272 COVID-19 cases overall as 21,196 cases are active. The number of active cases is 485 less than Sunday.

Seventeen additional virus-related deaths were documented Monday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 4,041. One death being for a Kay County resident and another for Osage County.

Kay County saw five new COVID-19 cases for Monday, putting the county at 5,012 COVID-19 cases, 69 deaths and 4,706 recoveries. There are currently 237 active COVID-19 cases for Kay County, which is two less than Sunday. Data for local Kay County communities is posted below:

Kaw City – 62 cases/1 death/58 recoveries

Braman – 21 cases/0 deaths/20 recoveries

 

As for new COVID-19 cases in local counties, there are 13 for Payne, 11 for Washington, seven for Noble, six for Logan, five each for Garfield and Osage and one for Grant. Data for local counties is posted below:

Osage County – 4,363 cases/44 deaths/4,121 recoveries

Logan County – 3,842 cases/26 deaths/3,600 recoveries

Pawnee County – 1,681 cases/29 deaths/1,589 recoveries

Noble County – 1,324 cases/10 deaths/1,227 recoveries

Grant County – 523 cases/7 deaths/495 recoveries

 

OSDH is reporting more recoveries on Monday rather than new COVID-19 cases as there are 1,198 new recoveries, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 389,035. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

There have been 620,746 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 173,423 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 447,323. There have also been 430,750 prime doses allocated and 291,500 boost doses allocated.

COVID-19 VACCINE UPDATE FOR KAY COUNTY:

Due to Sunday’s winter weather and more expected Tuesday night going into Wednesday, the Kay County Health Department made the announcement last week that all COVID vaccination PODs in Kay County Feb. 15-18, are cancelled.

Individuals who had appointments for those days will need to reschedule at vaccinate.oklahoma.gov when appointments are available.

The health department hopes to be able to provide clinics on Friday, Feb. 19th.
