Former State Rep. Ken Luttrell has announced he intends to seek the District 17 House of Representatives seat as a Republican. Luttrell previously held the post as a Democrat. He said he changed his affiliation earlier to vote in the sheriffs election.
Luttrell said that when Nancy Rathbun decided to withdraw from the representative post, he decided to enter the primary against Rep. Steve Vaughan. He went on to say, that in recent years we have seen what happens when special interest groups dictate the votes of our legislators. Luttrell said he will not be influenced or his votes controlled by outsiders and lobbyists, but he will work for you, your children and grandchildren’s future.”
