A 38 year old man who escaped from an Oklahoma prison was recaptured Thursday afternoon in Arkansas City. Jason Jude Leith was taken into custody at an apartment on West Cypress Avenue by Ark City police, The Kansas Highway Patrol and the Cowley County Sheriffs Office. Leith escaped the Clara Waters Correctional Center on December 21. He was serving time for possession of meth out of Tulsa County. He also had a history of court cases in Kay County.
