ALTUS, Oklahoma — The Northern Oklahoma College Mavs slugged seven home runs in sweeping Western 15-3 and 8-4 Thursday in Altus.
The Mavs (27-24) improved to 15-14 in league play while Western (12-24) dropped to 9-15 in conference.
In Game 1, the Mavs scored in every inning in the 15-3 rout of Western.
Lynsey Ailey hit two home runs and had four runs batted in while tossing a five inning complete game in the circle.
Meagan Bellar and Karsyn Coleman also homered, Coleman had four rbi’s while Bellar added three.
Audrey Meyers added three hits.
In Game 2, the Mavs once again played long ball as Ailey, Bellar, and Hallie Durkee homered in Game 2.
Meyers led a 10-hit attack with two singles.
Ailey allowed just two earned runs on six hits in the second game.
The Mavs travel to Murray State on May 4 for their final games of the regular season. The Region 2 Tournament begins May 13 in Muskogee.
