Mavs’ Softball earns two wins over Connors

WARNER, Oklahoma — The NOC Mavs swept Connors in two conference softball games Saturday in Warner.

  The Mavs (18-10) improved to 8-4 in conference while Connors (6-16) fell to 1-7 in league.

NOC won the first game 12-4 and the nightcap 9-6.  The Mavs have now won four straight and seven of eight.

  In Game 1, Meagan Bellar and Lynsey Ailey homered combining for six runs batted in.  Ailey, Jasmine Warriner, Shay Cushenbery, and Karsyn Coleman had two hits in a 13 hit attack.

Ailey allowed four runs on six hits in the circle while striking out four.

  In Game 2, Ailey and Warriner homered while Morgan Fowble and Hallie Durkee had two hits each.

  NOC led 5-4 before plating four late runs to seal the 9-6 win.

  Molly Myers earned the win in the circle with relief help from Ailey.  The two combined to allow six runs on 11 hits.

  The Mavs are at Eastern on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
